Les Voix humaines offer at last their own interpretation of the famous Vivaldi’s concertos which are among the world’s most performed musical pieces. Indeed, many musicians from different backgrounds perform and record this great universal score their own way. However, it is rare that one can hear the texts (sonnets) that are part of the original score. These sonnets, attributed to Vivaldi himself, are supposed to be part of the performance. The composer even added various sounds like dog barking, bird songs, etc, as part of this « program music ». Les Voix humaines made the artistic choice to respect what Vivaldi precisely wrote in the score, therefore giving to the audience a chance to listen to the work from a new musical perspective, and the result is really refreshing. It is possible to present the texts in English, in French, or mixed. This version of the Four Seasons is unique and accessible to any audience.
