Ensemble Per Sonare
This concert presentation by Ensemble Per Sonare is intended as a juxtaposition of two quintets. The first in the program is Luigi Boccherini’s quintet in C major, G.439 for flute, violin, viola and two cellos which will be followed by Beethoven’s Kreutzer String Quintet with two cellos in A major.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo violet – do re mi fa sol la si! Telemann’s music takes on a new dimension with live painting, inspired by eighteenth-century theories of the ethereal connections between music and color. With Sylvia Chan, artist.

This concert takes its inspiration from a manuscript that recently emerged in Como, Italy. It contains brilliant and lyrical cello sonatas of Angelo Maria Fiorè along with exquisite arias for voice, cello and continuo, played on the theorbo.

For several years, he has been developing his personal perspective on the nyckelharpa, a fascinating Swedish viol. Come enjoy his newest works combining creativity and poetry.
