Cantates BWV 61, 99, 125 et 186 de J.S. Bach
Bach, a staunch believer, applied all the genius for which he is celebrated to setting the inner theological meaning of texts to music in his cantatas. Like a sermon, the message of Cantatas BWV 61, 99, 125, and 186 is a reminder to all believers that if they are to be sure of earning the riches of heaven and advancing mit fried und freud (in peace and joy) to eternal life, they must put their faith in God. No matter what we believe today, Bach’s music remains for ever an incomparable treasure.
